To mark 10 incredible years, our founder Emma Osborne set out to
complete 10 challenges — from climbing mountains to walking a mile
every day for a year. The journey began with energy and determination, but halfway through, everything changed when Emma was diagnosed
with cancer for the second time.
Despite this life-altering turn, Emma continued with extraordinary
courage, adapting the challenges as needed. Her resilience, paired with
the overwhelming support from our community — both online and locally
— helped her reach the ambitious goal of raising £10,000.
Emma explains “The year started off with much promise, I was walking
my mile every day, had completed walking Pen y Ole Wen and climbed
Ben Nevis, wore pink every day in July to coincide with our birthday ball
and sadly a 2 nd cancer diagnosis derailed the rest of the challenges. The
new challenges became, get through surgery, complete chemotherapy,
get to the end of treatment etc. Which I am pleased to say I did. I turn 50
in 2026, so there will be 50 things I want to do next year, which no doubt
will mean some more fundraising for the Trust.”
We are deeply grateful to everyone who stood by Emma and the Trust.
This milestone is a powerful reminder of the strength found in community,
hope, and purpose.
