Our fundraising ideas section on how you can raise money for us to support children during a parent’s cancer & beyond. Think about setting yourself a challenge or getting the kids involved, the possibilities are endless.

A –
Afternoon Tea get your friends and family together to eat cake.
At the Movies hold an outdoor cinema experience.
Amazon Smile Choose us as your chosen charity every time you shop on Amazon Smile.

B –
Birthday Fundraiser – Ask for donations to your favourite charity (US!) instead of gifts.
Bingo/Boogie Bingo – Hold a Bingo event in your town, love to boogie add a DJ and turn into a night out.

C –
Coffee Swap – Donate the cost of a posh coffee to the trust one week instead of your usual expensive take outs.
Cycling – Set yourself a bike ride challenge, solo or with a team. Check out what races are on locally to sign up for.
Colour Rush Race Sign up to your local event and get sponsored for the Trust to do it, kids can get involved too.

D –
Duvet day – Raffle a day off at work and give your staff a duvet day as a prize!
Dog Walk – Got a dog? sign up to a local dog walk event and get sponsored to walk with you dog. Feeling bold? Hold you own and get as many of your dog walking friends and family signed up too.

E –
Easter – Hold an Easter egg hunt, an Easter raffle or an Easter competition to raise money.
Eurovision – Hold a Eurovision sweepstake every year to raise money for the Trust.

F –
Football – Do your kids love football and play in a team? Ask their manager if you can hold a tournament locally to fundraise for children affected by a parent’s cancer.
Free Fundraising – Choose us as your chosen charity every time you shop on Amazon Smile.
Fancy Dress Friday exactly what it says on the tin, choose a Friday and go to work, school, college, or the gym in fancy dress for the day.

G –
Give it Up – Get sponsored to go a month without chocolate, alcohol, cigarettes, shopping or anything, the possibilities are endless!
Guess How Many Get a jar, fill with sweets, Ozzy pins, pebbles and run a competition to guess how many in a jar.
Grow a beard – Grow a beard super long then shave it off as a fundraiser.

H –
Hour of Earnings – Donate what you earn in a hour to the Trust, ask your work colleagues to do the same on a given day and donate what’s raised to the Trust.

I –
International – Hold a food party with different foods from around the world.
It’s a Knockout – Attend a local event or hold your own! Hire some inflatables, set up your own course and ask people to register to attend.

J –
Join In – See something going on in your local area you want to take part in? Join in, sign up and get sponsored to do it for the Trust.
Jumble Sale – A good old fashioned jumble sale with lots of stalls, all raising money for the Trust.
Jumpathon – Sign the kids up to an hour jumping on the trampoline, or longer if they really fancy a challenge to raise vital funds to support other children.

K –
Karaoke – Love a good sing song, hold a karaoke night at your local for the Trust.
Kick a Habit – Give something up and get sponsored to do it, such as smoking, swearing, weekly take out etc.

L –
Line of coins – collect loose change for a week and see who can make the longest line of coins from your school mates, family, work colleagues.
Lottery – Get a number on our monthly prize draw to support us and have the chance to win a monthly cash prize.

M –
Mobile Free Day – Give up your mobile phone for 24 hrs to fundraise for the Trust
Mountain Climb – Always fancied taking on Wales, Scotland’s or England’s highest peaks, or all three on the 3 peaks challenge? Sing up on one of our events or get a team together.

N –
Night-time Walks – Set yourself a different challenge and walk at night in the dark, from our Snowdon’s Sunset & Sunrise walks to midnight walks, the possibilities are endless.
Name the Teddy – Grab one of our Stuffing Station teddies and run an online guess the teddy name fundraiser with the teddy as the prize.

O –
Ozzy’s Birthday Hold your own birthday celebration for Ozzy on or around July 10th each year to celebrate Ozzy’s Birthday with us.
Old Clothes – Sell unwanted clothes on a car boot or on eBay and donate what you make to the Trust.

P –
Prize Draw – Hold you own prize draw online, in work, amongst your networks.
Pantomime – bucket collect- Got links to your local theatre? Ask them if you can bucket collect after a show, no better time than Xmas after a Pantomime.
Party time – Have a big celebration coming up, a significant birthday or a wedding anniversary, a wedding, or an engagement party, why not ask for donations instead of gifts at your party.

Q –
Quiz – Who doesn’t love a quiz, online or at an event.
Quiet time – Get sponsored to be silent for the day, even better sign the kids up!

R –
Run – Set yourself a challenge and sign up to your first race or if you have raced before, sign up to a longer distance and challenge yourself.
Raffle – locally, online, at work, a raffle is an easy way to raise money.
Rugby Tournament – Contact your local Rugby Club and see if they will run a competition/tournament to fundraise.

S –
Skydive – Challenge yourself and sign up to a tandem skydive. We have a company we work with in the North West area, so get in touch.
Save your coins – Order one of our loose change boxes, free of charge and put your coins in there, once full, count it up and send what you’ve collected over to us via bacs or just giving.
Stuffing Station– Purchase on of our stuff you own teddy packs where all profit from each sale goes back into our work, supporting children during a parent’s cancer.

T –
Tombola – Good old-fashioned tombola, we find prize every time one is always a winner, 100 items = £100 raised.
Teddy Bears Picnic – Grab your Ozzy or favourite teddy bear and hold a teddy bears picnic in the park with your friends and family to fundraise.
Treasure Hunt – Live on a large estate like mine, why not get the residents together and hold a treasure hunt for the kids or families to raise money.

U –
Unplug – Go 24 hours without using any technology, challenge the kids to do this.
Uniform Free Day – Get your school signed up to a uniform free day and wear own clothes for £1 donation to the Trust.
Unwanted Gifts – Donate any new unwanted gifts to us at the Trust so we can use in our prize draw, raffles, and tombola fundraisers.

V –
Virtual Fundraising – Raise money several ways online, via Facebook, via JustGiving, Amazon Smile every time you shop, hold a fundraiser online with your contacts.

W –
Walk – Sign up to any local walking challenges and raise money for the Trust whilst you do it.
World Cup Football – Hold a sweepstake, £10 a team, winner gets some money rest goes to the Trust.
World Record Attempt- Find a world record attempt you think you can do and give it a go as a fundraiser.

X –
Xmas Top 4 the Trust – Wear Xmas Jumper for the day and donate to the Trust, sign up your school, college, work etc to do the same, usually second week in Dec.
Xmas – 12 days – 12 days of prizes loosely linked to the song.
Xmas – Advent – Give £1 to the Trust for the 24 days leading up to Xmas day instead of eating a chocolate every day for 24 days. Donate the £24 to the Trust on Xmas Eve/Day.

Y –
Your Choice – You decide what you want to do to raise money and do it.
Yellow – Have a yellow day, where you wear only yellow clothes and eat only yellow foods.

Z –
Zip Wire – Sign up to take on World’s Longest and Europe’s fastest zipwire to raise money.
Zumbathon – Love to Zumba, ask your class to hold a zumbathon.

Help make a difference. Become a Fundraiser.

Set yourself a challenge! Bake a difference, get your schools, college, work place, gym class involved and do a group fundraiser. Be as creative as you like. Use what you like to do and turn it into a fundraiser and get your networks involved. Organise a tea party, hold a ball, and take part in dress down Friday, so we can continue to support children during a parent’s cancer treatment.
